The National Education Internet Quiz 2005 is open to all registered students of the Junior Colleges and the Millennia Institute in Singapore. Exciting prizes and trophies await participants for the National Education Internet Quiz 2005. The Winners of the Internet Quiz will receive their Prizes from the Guest of Honor, the Minister of State for Education, Mr Chan Soo Sen. The National Education Internet Quiz 2005 will be held between 12.00 noon 27th April to 12.00 noon 4th May 2005. For any institution to be eligible for the prizes and trophies, there must be a minimum of 300 students who must answer all the 25 questions that are posted on the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Department of Political Science website.
The NE Quiz 2005 proper will be held at the National University of Singapore. The Preliminaries are on May 27, 2005 from 0900-1200 hrs and the Finals are on May 31, 2005 from 1400-1800 pm. Like the Internet Quiz, the actual physical quiz will test the students' knowledge of (1) Singapore Politics (2) Singapore's Military History (3) Singapore and Southeast Asia (4) Singapore and Globalization (5) Multicultural and Multilingual Round. Teachers will notice the difference from last year. The 5th Round replaces the NE Cheer and the Scenario Planning Round which will ask students questions in one/any of the four official languages. The Quizmasters will decide which of the five rounds will be considered the Speed Round. |
